Core Values List for Functional Medicine Practitioners

Building a functional medicine practice is a long, complex, and challenging process. In order to make it through and grow to serve your patients, establishing your core values is one of the best ways to spend 15 to 30 minutes of your time.

What’s a Core Value?

A core value is how you operate in life and in business, and it distills down to what is most important to you. These core values will guide how you interact with patients, how you choose to interact with other providers, and, ultimately, your why behind what you do.

How to Use This List: Pick three to five of these values, and write down why these values are important to you and how you’re going to apply them in your practice. Hang it up where you’ll see them every day as a reminder. (You can turn this into wall art, but at the very least hang a piece of paper with these listed near your computer or somewhere visible. Seeing it regularly is more important than how it’s displayed!)
